Hi gang-
I'm from the beautiful, rainy Northwest. I bought my first Colorado (2006 Ext Cab) in Jan 2009 and immediately loved it. A red light runner took it away from me last week and thankfully the airbags deployed saving my wife and I from any real harm. I had to get another one so we just picked up a 2008 Ext Cab 4x4 in Inferno Orange. These trucks are the best and I look forward to conversing with lots of other happy Colorado owners!

Howdy folks! I'm an Okie by birth but have settled down in the truck capital of the US - Texas. Being mostly a GM guy I've had 5 of their vehicles. 84 Buick Regal, 95 Chevy S-10, 02 Pontiac GP GTP (still trying to sell), ...

Here's the old S-10

Here's the ol girl still looking for a new home

Now what I have...

03 Corvette Z06

...and a project truck you may not recognize that I'm working on with my dad...

I don't have any pics of the truck that brought me here, but it's a white 2000 Chevy Silverado 4.8L extended cab short bed with vinyl and power nothing - and I really like it! The Vette made me a snob I guess, but it doesn't like the rain and I miss my S-10 sometimes. I like to turn a wrench or two, and I don't feel bad tinkering with the Silverado especially because I just can't see messing with a perfectly good Corvette. With 135,000 on the clock, I expect to tinker with the big tank enough to satisfy my desire to modify. I plowed through 3 or 4 inches of water, cackling maniacally as the big tires sprayed water into the empty lanes around me. Try doing that in a Vette!

Anywho, I look forward to being a part of the GM Truck Club x2!:money:

So I'm planning on rebuilding my 350 for my 1994 Silverado 1500 TBI. I have a list of parts so far, but I'm not sure if there even right for this engine. Here's my list so far:

Engine basic rebuild kit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEM-MK6038A-000/ -- $230
Summit Racing Hypereutectic Pistons for 4in diameter: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-17350-00/ ----$85.95
Comp Cams Xtrem Energy 252XFI HR13: http://www.compperformancegroupstore...Code=RLERCAMXE ---$303.57
Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller lifters : http://www.compperformancegroupstore...=SBCNEWLifters -- $224.03
Comp Cams Push Rods : http://www.compperformancegroupstore...CNEWPushrods-- $35.64
I'm looking to keep the TBI system, since the ECU still runs like new. I havent found any cylinder head rebuild kits yet, so if someone could help me find one of those. But what am I missing here, and what wont work? Any reccomendations? I'm not planning to actually do this for several years, but I would like to get an idea of what I need and what it will cost.

Thanks.
